My name is Sarah and I am a 29 year old mother of two, a 10 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. I have a very supportive and loving husband who is a Pilot in the US Army and is currently deployed.
I spent a good portion of my 20's carrying around way too much extra weight. After the birth of my daughter (our last child), I decided that it was time to get my sexy back. At that point I managed to commit to a healthy diet alone with no exercise (I had a case of the lazy's) and lost 30lbs in just 4 months.
I maintained that weight loss for quite a while although I knew all along that I wasn't done. You see, I have not confidently worn a pair of shorts since before the pregnancy of my son. So.....since high school. I got into the gym and almost made it there until a diagnosis of not one but three neurological disorders sort of threw me off track for a while.
I consider myself a Super Woman of sorts. I have yet to find someone else with 3 neurological diseases and whenever I walk into a new neurologist's office, I always get a look of "damn!" when they read over my disease stats. If a neuro is amazed, I know I'm somethan special. I have been diagnosed by multiple neurologists with having migraines (that's the easy one), Multiple Sclerosis, and Syringomyelia.
So here I am. My goal is to stump the progression of my diseases by eating healthy and bringing my body to a state of physical fitness that it has not seen in a very long time. With exercise and eating properly, I am in control of my body's strength. So when my MS or SM decides to make my life more difficult than it already has, I will have the physical strength to put up one hell of a fight.
So this is indeed, 4 My Life.
