New to blogging but I've been writing since about 1971 (professionally, as a ghostwriter and grant writer, between 1993-2003).

My background strays little from the focus of my university degrees of architecture, languages, politics, and economics.

Professionally, I'm usually self-described as a writer, architectural designer, or a political economist; depending on my mood, my audience, and what I happen to be mostly doing at the time.

I like to backpack-travel (mostly Europe), cycle, and live a life of simple self-sufficiency (and all the things that may entail). I believe in life-long learning and the striving for wisdom.
