Amr El-Helw

I am currently a senior software engineer at EMC Greenplum, where I am part of the database query processing team. I received my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Canada in 2012.

I enjoy reading about - and possibly contributing in - various computer- and technology-related topics, ranging from new technologies, to interesting websites, to useful software products or online services, to even just linking to interesting articles that I've come across. I have a special interest in free and open-source software and services, so don't be surprised if I write about these quite often.
