Aaron Friedman is the SEO Manager at Spark - a full service media agency division of Starcom MediaVest Group, where he works to help develop and drive SEO and integrate search strategy with other verticals. He specializes in SEO ranging from local, digital marketing, to national and global enterprise search marketing. Aaron has a deep understanding of and has used many different analytics platforms, including Omniture, Google Analytics, Brightedge and Radian 6. He specializes in content creation including social media strategy, image and video optimization.
Aaron writes for Search Engine Land in his monthly Search and Social column, Search Engine Journal, as well as for his personal blog at Digital Highrise. He can be found speaking at SMX, SES, Pubcon and other conferences around the country.
Before joining Spark, Aaron was with Resolution Media, where he focused heavily on social media and its convergence with SEO, as well as played an integral part in laying the foundation for their social solutions. Prior to that, he was with the Zocalo Group, a word of mouth digital agency, where he specialized in Social Media tracking and metrics. He was a member of the Digital Influence Group which developed best of breed marketing practices for social networking sites and evaluated emerging media tools to determine effective ways for utilization in digital marketing programs.
Aaron is a business and marketing graduate of Yeshiva University, Sy Syms School of Business. He lives in Chicago with his wife, Ariella, and their two kids, Dovid and Danya. When not working, he enjoys the outdoors, photography and embracing his inner ‘geek’.
