Trace A. DeMeyer (whose real name at birth was Laura Jean Thrall-Bland) has NINE LIVES: rock singer, poet, storyteller, historian, wounded adoptee, journalist, teacher, mosaic artist and word alchemist/author. Her memoir “One Small Sacrifice" morphed two books into one: memoir and the history of the Indian Adoption Projects. Her second book Two Worlds: Lost Children of the Indian Adoption Projects was published in 2012. Her co-author Patricia Berdan Cotter-Busbee is also an Adoptee-Author-Blogger.
