My name is Ashley Reynolds, I am currently working on my BFA in photography at ASU. Photography is my outlet to express my personal philosophies and quiet reflections about life. Things that feel unexplainable using the English language lend themselves to be explored through the language of photography. For one series, I actually photographed cadavers in a very ambiguous, obscured manner and juxtaposed those images with other natural forms. For me this project was an expression of my outlook on life and death as well as the unity between man and nature. Art can be a therapeutic way of developing your personal outlooks on life, which is what I strive to accomplish when making photos. By sharing your artwork to the public eye, you are lending a piece of your mind to be explored and interpreted by the viewer. While my thoughts may not be read precisely through the imagery of the pictures, my goal is to get the viewer to look inward to find their own personal answers, by exploring their own mind and emotions.
