I am a recent graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi. I received my M.S. in Mass Communication in May 2011. Shortly thereafter I received grant funding through the R. Scott Hitt Foundation to continue working for the Mississippi Safe Schools Coalition. This blog is my experience of that work. I will detail what steps I took each day in the hopes of creating a better network of queer activism in Mississippi.
