Born in northeastern Pennsylvania, 'Dr A' received his education at the University of Scranton, Hahnemann Medical College (now part of Drexel University), University of Pittsburgh at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, and Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio Texas. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (1989, 1999, 2009). Currently he is completing Beating Asthma. An Experts Guide to Seven Simple Principles, a book aimed at helping those with asthma improve their control over this malady!
