An American of the sort with no real "home town," I'm a sociology professor, primarily concerned with environmental, scientific, and technological issues, who has arrived in his early-50s increasingly bearing the brunt of decades of soccer, ultimate, softball and, once upon a time, wrestling. I'm a very-close-to-completely vegetarian, really like mid-level wine and high quality beer, was a college/underground radio programmer in the early-80s and again in the late-80s/early-90s and have a sporty librarian wife and two rather active boys (8 and 11).
