<aboutMe>My primary home is in Long Beach, California where I live with my two cats, Max and Ivy. I teach psychology for a Community College, specializing in human sexuality, cross cultural psychology and human services. For many years I have been visiting a sanctuary in meditations set in a forest on a cliff above an endless body of water. I had a good laugh when I finally realized that this place was real; re-imagined from forgotten memories of my grandmother's "camp" upon the shore of Lake Superior. I have been fortunate to be able to purchase the land to create Artemisia, a spiritual retreat for myself and my guests. Creating Artemisia has led me to seek to know my immigrant ancestors better, as this is the region to which three-quarters of them first entered the United States.</aboutMe>
