Our company, Atelier Wilfried Senoner, specializes in handcrafted carvings, including statues, reliefs and altars. Our main material is wood, but we also work with stone and marble. While a handful of famous artists from the valley do the carvings, my mother, Eva Perathoner, paints and meticulously polishes the statues with an agate stone. This particular procedure make the statues shiny and allows the colour to absorb into the wood ensuring the colour lasts longer, and it is a technique that is unique to our art pieces.
