I have spent the better part of my adult life finding and supporting permanent homes for older (teens & beyond) foster children.
These experiences coupled with my own (informal) adoption story and journey to adoptive parenthood have left me with a high regard for those who choose to parent consciously and a low regard for the foster care system as it relates to the way it treats the system's youth.
