Hello to all and thank you for checking out my first blog! I'm Brittnye and yes that is really how my name is spelt. It never fails- everywhere I go where people can see my name on paper they ask me questions about it. \"Is that really how it's spelt?\" or \"How do you pronounce that?\". It's pronounced brit*nee, yes that is how it is spelt on my birth certificate, and yes my mom came up with it. After years of identity denial growing up, I hated my name- first and middle and last. No particular reason, just didn't think it sounded good. Now I have come to love my name as it is a great representation of my uniqueness. And for those who are curious, my middle name was bestowed upon me in honor of my grandmother, Victoria. \n\nOk enough about my name already! My apologies right off the bat, that is one big thing about me- my mind never stops and I tend to ramble on and go off on tangents. Some people can't handle it, it must be mental overload for them (*not meant as a slam on anybody's intelligence level...that has nothing to do with it). Everyone is put together differently, mentally and physically, and there is no one way of being put together that is \"right\". We should praise others and learn from their strengths instead of judging their weakness. The things we choose to see when we look into someone else reflect the things inside ourselves. *CREATE HABITS THAT CREATE HAPPINESS*\nEssentially, that is what this blog is for...a place where I can relay my journey to happiness in life and use my personal strengths in writing to maybe inspire you**\n\nA little background on me to get everyone familiar...I was born and spent the majority of my life so far in central Wisconsin. I have lived in several areas...hopped from apartment to apartment in one small city, then lived very briefly in another small city nearby, then I lived in a larger city in Illinois, and then I have lived in several very very small rural towns in Northern Wisconsin (I actually worked in Superior for over a year). Excitingly, we are going to be moving to central Oregon on March 9th! \n\nOk...explanation of who \"we\" includes. I am blessed everyday with two little boys, an amazingly supportive fiance, and his wonderful mom whom we live with. Aidyn is our eldest, he will be 4 in June. He is the spitting everything of his mother- and I couldn't be more proud of it! And then there is Noah the terror who will be 2 in August. He is his daddy, through and through. And when they tell you that God gives you the easy child first, they aren't kidding! But I wouldn't trade that beautiful blue-eyed boy for any other child. Yep, two boys two years apart. My life is definitely a rollercoaster ride...mind you a rollercoaster ride is only what you make of it. The ups, the downs...if you psych yourself out about either then when it happens your fears are only magnified. I am a very strong believer in \"everything happens for a reason\" and so I try to take my life everyday as it happens and make the most of it. And if we can modify or create completely new habits everyday, we can and will be led to happiness. \n\nSo how did I come to be such a philosophical hippie inspired soul? It's a long story, but we'll get there. I can accredit much of my growth to Daniel...my rock, my wind, my sunshine, my guide in life. The love of my life. I can't express it enough how blessed I am and how thankful I am to the almighty being that brought us together and has kept a loving hand upon us, helping us through our darkest moments and shining with us in times of triumph. Oh yeah- his mom deserves a lot of credit for the wonderful man she has guided throughout life.
