I am David J. Brown (hence the DJB) and I've created this blog to send random thoughts on a few things I care about to friends, family, and others who may share the same passions. Professionally, I am a historic preservationist, so some of my posts will clearly relate to places that matter to me - generally notes from travel to great historic places or occasional thoughts on preservation issues. (I will generally defer to the National Trust for Historic Preservation's site for more official presentations.) This is a personal blog, so the topics will center around acoustic music (such as bluegrass, Celtic, Americana) and baseball - both of which I've enjoyed for decades. And since this is random, I know that other things will crop up. Please feel free to respond, but as a friend of mine says, if you want to disagree strongly, get your own blog! I hope you enjoy.
