<aboutMe>I am a retired garden designer living in the Kansas City area. I used photography in my designs and found I love to frame a shot. I have been sharing those photos on flickr for about 4 years now.

I have watched many of my flickr friends start blogs but have not been able to choose just the right topic for myself. I "tried on" the idea of blogging about designing gardens to create curb appeal- but that was too narrow a fit and not really "me" anymore.

I finally realized that I have acquired lots of fun tidbits of information about Carmel-by-the Sea where our second home is located. I also never go anywhere without my camera when we are there, much to my husband's consternation, so I have lots of photos to share.

So here we go... telling tales of Carmel-by-the-Sea. It is a little urban forest that endlessly fascinates me.</aboutMe>
