I remember the owner’s name, before the dog’s.  That is the first clue to my dog training style.  I am interested in what is going on in the life of the whole family, not just the dog.  That is why my business is called “Me And My Dogs.”  The “Me” comes first.  The more I study and observe dog behavior, the more I become interested in human behavior. 
For me, writing is an extension of my dog training business.  My essays tell stories that go beyond explaining behavior modification to changing the way people think about themselves and their dogs.  They are snapshots of my life with dogs that, hopefully, speak of something timeless and universal.
