I am a relatively new adoptive mother with 2 children ages 10 & 12. I am single. We have 3 dogs, 3 birds and a 40 gallon fish tank. My 12 year old is exceptionally gifted and my 10 year old is exceptionally gifted, I just have to find the keys because she is autistic and has severe auditory processiong and short term memory loss with numerous medical needs as well. When I adopted the girls, this information was supposedly unknown and I was blindsided, but it only makes me love the girls more fiercly and fight for them harder. They are my life. I am getting my second bachelor's degree in paralegal studies. My first was in technical writing. B.C. (before children) I had dreams of becoming an attorney working as a prosecuting attorney. Now, I would like to get my education in educational law and fight for the children like mine that are repeatedly dropped or kicked through the cracks hoping no one will notice. Our adoption was finalized 4 months ago and we enjoyed knowing that this Christmas we did not ever have to be seperated again.
