I always thought of myself as being in good shape. I was always running, lifting, training mixed martial arts, etc. I even proved my self time and again by successfully completing a number of physically and mentally demanding schools, to include a basic special weapons and tactics school. Unfortunately, most of the time I spent focusing on training, little time was spent focusing on my eating and sleeping habits. I was eating just about anything and everything I wanted, and I was only getting about 6 hours of sleep a night. After joining my local crossfit gym in January of 2012 (and reading Robb Wolf's book "The Paleo Solution"), I have spent more time focusing on my overall health to include following a paleo based diet, and trying my hardest to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night (without going to bed with the tv on). Following this regimen has helped me better understand the health benefits associated with the proper combination of eating, sleeping, and exercising. Aside from a few training related injuries, I have never felt, nor looked better.
