Annette was born and raised in Broken Hill, working as a Dental Nurse until her marriage in 1974 when she moved to Polpah Station outside White Cliffs. She is married to Barry and they have three children (one daughter and two sons) and Grannie Annie to five gorgeous grandchildren.
She is currently on the White Cliffs Health Council and the White Cliffs Flying Doctor Auxiliary and has trained as a Volunteer Ambulance Officer.
Annette is self-employed in partnership with her husband and lives on a (64,000 acre /26,500 hectare) property south east of White Cliffs. She is also Managing Director of a company which supplies software/ hardware packages to mines. She is a Workplace Trainer and Assessor in Computing, Business/Retail Certificates and Mines in the use of her software.
Hobbies include reading, cooking, sewing and travel. She also enjoys training carers, service providers and people with disabilities in technology which helps enable people with disabilities to live independently.
Annette believes all aims of CWA of NSW are as relevant today as they were 90 years ago. She would like to continue working towards bringing women and families together, improving conditions and welfare especially in rural and remote areas and lobbying for change. She considers it to be a privilege to be a caretaker of the CWA and together we can ensure the longevity of our great Association.
