I am an American woman who has found home again and again in several parts of the world, though most comfortably in Morocco and other parts of the Arab- Islamic world, including Turkey and the UAE. I am a new mom to my son born in 2010. My husband and I are raising him to speak English, French and Arabic. I am interested in language and identity politics, Islam and Islamic Feminism, Consciousness Studies, a range of spiritual practices including Sufism and yoga practices.
My current aim in beginning this blog is to breathe life into a somewhat neglected writing practice.
