Heather Robinson moved from Littleton, Colorado to Tucson, Arizona in 1993. After graduating high school she went on to work for America Online, where she met actress and writer Carrie Fisher in an online chat room. Carrie eventually convinced Heather to write a screenplay based on her life as a teenager growing up with a single mother in Tucson. In 2004, Heather sold her first screenplay titled, “The Perfect Man” to Universal Pictures and in 2005 had a world wide release starring Hilary Duff, Heather Locklear and Chris Noth. Heather is currently working on her second screenplay titled "E-Girl", which is again based on her life and a book that details her life from surviving a kidnapping when she was five years old, to working for Oprah Winfrey in Chicago and most importantly, her weight loss journey. Heather has been a guest on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Extra!, Good Morning America and featured in various magazine articles.
