<aboutMe>Fairlee Winfield is Professor Emeritus of Linguistics and Cultural Studies at Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University. A former Fulbright lecturer in Peru, and an exchange professor in Japan, she resides in the west. Inspiration for her historical novel, "BUFFALOed," was sparked by her grandmother’s stories of working in the renowned Cowboy Artis Charlie Russell's Montana home.

Dr. Winfield's research and publications are in the field of Work and Family Issues. She can usually be found in her garden with her Chinese Crested dog and her Egyptian Mau cat working on her 30 plus Japanese bonsai trees.</aboutMe>
