I've been baking and cooking for as long as I can remember. I think it's kind of amazing that you can take a some individual, possibly boring, ingredients and create anything from a delicate french macaron to a braided challah to a chocolate cupcake. I love cooking, but sweets are my favorite to share with people I care about (or people I want to like me). I love finding new recipes and making old favorites. And I may or may not have a slight obsession with peanut butter.
Oh, and the flour-de-lys thing? Not a typo. That's me, trying to be clever with fleur-de-lys. I grew up in Texas, but I was born in New Orleans. I'm a Saints fan, I love shrimp po-boys and beignets, and I appreciate bars that don't have last call.
