I am in most respects a pretty ordinary individual. I enjoy intelligent conversation and exchanging views with people on a wide range of subjects, hence my blog. Despite my serious side, people seem to think I have a good sense of humour, but personally, I think its the onset of Alzheimer's.
I have been married for seventeen years to the most wonderful woman in the world (sorry guys, but I saw her first) and we live in bliss in Marbella Spain. While many of you have to put up with dull grey skies and rain, we bask in 'wall to wall' sunshine. People say to me: "Don't you ever miss England", but my reply is always: "No way!".
When I retired, many ex-collegues asked if I ever get bored with nothing to do all day, but I never do. In fact, it has given me an opportunity to do many of the things I could never find time for in the past like reading and blogging, and in particular, writing short stories.
Life is a wonderful thing, and to me it seems a shame that so many people set about wasting what little time they have in this world. As to the world, it is a magical place full of wonders to behold, if you take the time to look, and appreciate it.
