A got my 1st ever Set of Turntables way back in September 1997.
The first set-up a ever got where a Pair of Limit 2000's Plus a 2 Channel Numark Mixer. At the time a must admit a did not have no idea what i was doing when it came down to mixing, beat matching etc & so on, so that did take some getting used to a must admit. Also only had about 50 maybe 60 12inch vinyl's at the time.
As in a couple of track's by the awesome "Snap" with that classic we all still love "Bang" aswell as "Shooting Star" & another one of my favorit's "Cloudy Dayz"But also goin back to the year "1998" was a great year for me on the Dance Scene when it come down to getting my hands on some "Unreal Anthem's" of all Anthem's, from just some of the following "Classic Tride & Tested Anthem's, from the like's of one of my All Time Favorite Club Track's from the Year a Started on the DJ-Scene 1997.

Those where just some of the top tune's a got me hands on way back when a started way back in'1997, one thing a used to do when a was new on the dj scene, was to go way into the early hours in the morning basicly untill a got the "Beat Matching Perfect"& that was it from then onwards then a new a could mix for sure, & after that in such a short length of time that was it for me a used to go up to HMV newcastle every single week, and used to be in there goin from A to Z flicking through every single 12inch vinyl, & by the time a was finished goin through every single track 80.00% of the time's a made sure befor a left that a found thee track's a was looking for, & even when a could'nt find a couple of track's now and then a used to just make an order with the track's a could'nt find & basicly just reserve them week after week, & by the time a was done at & dusted @ HMV like 2hrs after when a was eventuly heading home with like 5, 6 bag's full of brandnew tune's after spending where talkin atleast £130.00 up to as much as £160.00 & at the time a just did not care what so ever noin that a was allways on me way back home with bag's full of some unreal track's, not addin that a used to pay up to as much as £7.99, to £8.99, to even £9.99 Per 12'inch Single.
Soon as a used to get back to my place it was like straight back on to the one's & two's, & as the mixes a was doin day by day me mixing then went from strength to strength & so on Round about's a year in to the mix noin me mixes where getting tighter & better, a finally had the courage in me to start recording 90min set's on "TDK Audio Tape's"
After many attempts at starting to record me set's on audio tape at the time a used to allways finish a set, & rewind it back to the start befor a let anyone here it like for sure, A eventuly had did a wicked 90min set recorded and gave it a good listen to like, & hey what can a say a was verry happy at the time with the result, over the moon actualy none a was starting to learn the inside's out of how to basicly do good mixes, this process took ages to get right in fact the
next few tapes also contained clashes because i had forgot the mixing points by then it came down to mixing was a whole new experiance for me & from then new it was what a was born to do like. So that was it for me a started kicking out a load of audio tape's all over the shop for all me mate's & so on as ya do, a even still have a couple left some where lolz, the thing is aswell a remember thinking just how hard it was going to be to remember where everything happened in every tune and at this moment I realised how easy this made even the daunting beat matching look, so from then just before a choose two records & decided to find the right place's in the track's to drop them in to get the mixes sounding more on track the mixes where much tighter, that is when beat matching was starting to get easy'a by the day, & hey at the time this was a verry early stage way back in the day's & way before a ever knew what a beat matching actual ment.
I continued to stack up my record collection from various style's as followed:
