I started my original Shoulder Diary blog after a bad fall down a steep embankment at a local park, badly fracturing my shoulder and upper arm (Proximal Humerus Fracture), and ORIF surgery to repair it.
I just started a new blog to feature close-up photographs of my HO Scale diorama (Christmas or Winter Villiage) set in the early 1900's. I host a number of history and genealogy sites and am passionate about historic preservation. For years I have collected vintage postcards, and now offer high resolution restored digital images for publications, documentaries, and print.
Even with a busy work schedule, I try to make time to be outdoors and enjoy nature and physical activity. There's nothing more restorative than than a brisk walk with the wind in the trees and a favorite song on my iPod. I love the wildlife, too, and learn so much just by sitting back and observing.
