My interest in Ecology and Natural History stemmed from exposure to place-based education in my secondary school years. We are nature, and conservation starts with the People. It is pertinent that we move beyond the individualism and exclusion that is prominent in contemporary society, toward sustaining webs of relationship in the community (which includes the wilderness and life it encompasses).
