I'm an environmental journalist/writer and mum of two girls, Lola and Nell. We live in a big city with my husband/their dad Pete May (who is also an author/journalist and serious West Ham fan), a dog, three hens and visitors (at the mo that's two ducklings!). Living in a thrifty, creative and eco-friendly way is second nature at home - and we had a go too while homeschooling and travelling in Australia and Solomon Islands in 2011. Usually I post once or twice a week on all things child related.
