2011 seemed to be a year full of environmental disaster, recession, corruption and generally bad news. What struck me though was that everywhere within those major stories, individuals were quietly getting on with being good. These individuals thought beyond the selfish short sightedness that seemed to be everywhere to think of others, showing kindness and fairness and bringing justice to unjust situations. These individuals thought beyond just being good amongst other people to be good amongst all nature. They seemed to understand that we humans are just one species amongst many and they acted with dignity, compassion and respect towards all life. I think these individuals make a difference and I respect that. My goal for 2012 is to be a good human.
