This fascination grew and pulled him into painting. After all imitation is the highest form of flattery. Boyace paints with a limited color palette of black and white with sepia overtones; which lend his works an ‘old world’ look. A longing for the life values and ambience of ages past motivates the artist to create these images. Boyace creates a window to a previous age, when the pace of life was simpler and slower; when people appreciated each other above all else. He introduces a style of painting uniquely his own for nostalgia fine art collectors around the world. “The most important part of being an artist is enjoying the creative spirit God has given me; I feel His sun rays on me when I enjoy what I was made to do. The end result is merely a suggestion of three dimensions’ hard edges…for me the creative process, as with all learning, is a series of incomplete exercises. I learn more by failure than by success. His ability to synthesize the sciences with the arts and incorporate his diverse passions into visual art has led to a wealth of self-discovery and a fascinating progression of work, including watercolor, mixed-media painting, various painting surfaces wood, canvas, and paper.
