I've been gardening as long as I can remember; initially as a child, learning from my mother, and then with each successive garden I've owned, I've expanded my knowledge and my plant collection. My passion is for herbaceous perennials and lately, old roses, bearded iris and dahlias. My present garden is probably the smallest I've owned, but I think it is also the one I love the most. The other competing demand on my time (outside of work) is photography, and where I can, I combine the two!
