Iam trying to spread awarness of the danger of smoking, copd,emphysema,& this is my journey for lungs. Iam a young women,started smoking at a young age and iam paying the ultimate price with my lungs, At the age of 52 I was diagnoised with stage 4 copd w/end emphysema,after a hospital stay in may of 2011, i was told about needing a lung transplant. Them words alone made me cringe,But.. in time I have no choice, this is my journey while i wait to be listed & recieve my new shiny pink lung or lungs.hope i can share something worth while as this web thing is all new to me,lol but id like to know I made a difference,God bless you all,& if your smoking, well, you should read my copd page,joannesjourneyforlungs.wordpress.com thanks for reading .. its greatly apreciated.Joanne.
