Valdez, Alaska

I am the teacher librarian for the Valdez City School District in Alaska. Mostly I work at the k-6 elementary school. This is my fourth year of service as a teacher librarian. I am passionate about English literature, both for adults and children, and I am a blogger, tweeter, and webmaster. Making the teacher librarian profession the best it can be and advocating for libraries are also interests. For recreation I like to downhill ski, hike, be outdoors, read (mostly novels), watch movies and television (the '80's sitcom "Family Ties is one of my favorites), and swim.
