I used to be a teletype operator for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and then for the State of Alaska, Department of Highways, in Valdez, Alaska. After that, I was a switchboard operator, receptionist, and secretary. Then I chose to "retire" and be at home every day when my kids got home from school. Best choice I ever made!
