Cast of characters you may meet here.
Linda - (also known as Lnde, Lin, Linna, Linda Lou, crazy bitch) I'm me. That's the whole point of this blog isn't it? To get to know yourself (or in this case, myself). I'm a (step)mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, an animal lover, a thrift shop hunter, a picture taking junkie. I love to find unusual things, either for myself or friends. Music and rain are both balms to my troubled soul. I hate being hot, I live for the cooler weather, just so I can wear warm clothes. I love to read. Everything. I'm trying to make a more positive impact in the world and on the people around me. Trying to keep a positive attitude, and an open mind.
Babycakes - My baby sister. 10 1/2 years younger than me, we both kinda grew up as only children. She's my sister, my bestie, and my personal motivator and life coach. She thinks I'm worth saving.
John - the loving spouse. We've had ups, we've had downs, and he's still in the seat beside me. Even if it's only because he can't get the safety belt off. :) He says I saved him, I think he saved me. It all works out in the end.
J. - my 11 year old stepson. He's funny, shy, outgoing, quiet, loud, basketball obsessed, and awesome. I love him. He is mine and he knows this. No matter what other people think. He drives me crazy, and keeps me sane.
Koda - my 3 yr old boston/rat terrier mix, she's 25 lbs of the most ferocious dog you'll ever meet. At least in her mind she is. She's hyper, a bit "special", and my pretty, pretty princess.
(Kaptain) Krunch - our pound puppy. He's about 2, a german shepherd/lab mix (they think) and 60 lbs of lap dog. Guaranteed to break your legs. He thinks he's the little dog (that's Koda's fault) and he's the sweetest thing you'll ever meet. Unless you mess with me. Then the fun is over. He takes his "protect mommy" orders very seriously. *We lost Krunchy boy on 2/21/12, the day John was released from the hospital. :( R.I.P. Baby boy. Momma loves you.
Kilo Brown - (as in Kilograms, the weight measurement that took over our lives when dialysis began) is our newest addition. He found us at an adoption event in May 2012. He knew we had more love to give, and we knew he was just the heart to take it. He's a boxer/lion(?) mix that just keeps growing . . . We're about 80 lbs now and just turned 1. Watch out world!
