As a native to Northern Virginia (NoVA), having grown up one county to the east in Fairfax, I\u2019ve seen first-hand how these suburbs of Washington, DC, have changed and grown by leaps & bounds.   I\u2019m a mom & a housewife - one who eschews any connection to the Real or Desperate ones.\n\nRather late to the mommy-blogging party, I\u2019m focusing on my life as a housewife.  Besides, my kids (now in high school and middle school) would not appreciate mom being non-anonymous on the Internet.  Oh and did I mention I'm an introvert?  Challenge:  find a creative outlet in the blog-o-sphere while flying below the radar.\n\nAD\/HD runs in my family and also in my husband\u2019s family and our kids have it.   We are challenged every day to live our best life while working with this \u201cgift\u201d.   I am a self-diagnosed adult with AD\/HD after recognizing so much of myself in my kids\u2019 daily challenges.   It is what it is.  I\u2019m forging ahead and not crying over what could have been if I\u2019d been diagnosed as a child.  There\u2019s a new generation preparing to take on the world with this \u201cgift\u201d and I consider it my top job to help them overcome and excel.\n\nMy loves include the following in no particular order:  Pugs, Pets, Pittsburgh, the Pope, Bunco, Book Club, British Period Movies, Blondes, Daniel Craig (best Bond IMHO), Organizing, Mad Men, Catholicism, Virginia, History, My Family, Genealogy, Gardening, Walking for Exercise and a Great Sense of Humor.","currentLocation":"Leesburg, Virginia USA","emails":[{"primary":"true","value":"loudounhousewife@gmail.com"}],"urls":[{"value":"http:\/\/autumnaldesigns.com","title":"Etsy Shop"}]}]}
