Lou van Laake, also known as Truly DiVine, is a Dutch jazz singer based in Dublin.
From a small-town rock&pop cover girl to a Burlesque House Diva. From a girl in jeans and sweaters to a woman in frocks, fascinators and killer heels.
The move to The Emerald Isle of Ireland created opportunities for Lou to develop into the jazz singer she is today. Starting with small intimate gigs in cosy cafes and restaurants, and slowly but surely expanding to club stages and extensive audiences. But Lou's intensity hasn't changed. Whether there are 5 people in the audience, or 200, she tries to smoothly let the old jazz and blues lyrics enter your heart, where they can tell their tales and dazzle the senses.
A lyricist at heart, with a passion for drama, Lou wishes to keep the old songs alive, as their messages are still so very true today: sassy and naughty, sensual and sassy, smooth and emotional. And according to some of her fans, she performs them with caramel in her voice.
