NOTE:I'm just another foodie in this world. When it comes to food, my palate does not discriminate. I prefer to spend money on a great meal rather than a great pair of heels (unless of course, they’re absolutely gorgeous in which case, ramen noodles will cram my pantry for a week.) The potluck list used to skip me when it came to the planning of family reunions. As the youngest of six, everyone assumed I lacked skill. Until, that is, my three-cheese, oven-baked pasta made a special appearance at a birthday party. I watched as the familiar, hungry faces devoured my dish. Of course, they all assumed my older sister prepared it but from that moment on, I was hooked. Entertaining and cooking for family and friends became my favorite pastime. I was raised in beautiful El Paso, Texas known for its Franklin Mountains and Mexican influenced culture. I was born just south of the border in Juarez, Chih., Mexico where I spent my childhood in my grandmother’s kitchen taking in the hypnotizing smell of homemade, flour tortillas. I am blessed to live in a city where some of the best Mexican restaurants abound not to mention grocery stores stocked with the necessary ingredients used in Mexican cuisine. I find writing and cooking therapeutic and set out to create a blog where I can express my love for both. I hope you find time to try some of these recipes and feel free to leave comment or e-mail me with requests. Bye for now! ©Adri.
