I'm a professor of anthropology at Williams College, where I have taught for 30 years in a joint anthropology/sociology department. My academic interests include the indigenous peoples of the New World, religion, medical anthropology, ethnobotany, and the ethical dilemmas of intellectual property. My posts to the AAA site arise largely from my membership in the Committee on the Future of Print and Electronic Publishing, a.k.a. CFPEP.
