My love of photography started at the age of 19 while on a summer trip in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I was hooked from that point on. While in Jackson, I developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of God’s creation. I desired to share this beauty with others. Photography presented me with an opportunity to express what I was feeling and witnessing. Feelings and emotions can’t be photographed in the literal sense. The warmth of the sun, as it breaks the eastern horizon at sunrise, simply can’t be felt in the form of a print but through my work, I hope to evoke a sense of belonging and purpose. Every day the sun rises in the East and sets in the West but no two sunrises are ever the same. Each new day brings with it a new beginning and a new opportunity to discover something never before seen. God’s beauty is all around us just waiting to be photographed, from sunlit mountain peaks to calm waters at a river’s edge. It’s only by God’s grace we are here and each day we have on Earth is a true gift. The alpenglow of sunrise is a true sight to see, but eventually the light fades and gives way to day. God’s love is different. His love is everlasting and will never fade!
