I'm an 85 year old retired psychiatric nurse practitioner, now writer/poet. I spend most of my time with my laptop or pen and paper. I've published two memoirs, "Unforeseen" and "And You Will Know the World's Name" and written a book of poems, "Beneath Our Feet," to be published by Virgogrey Press in November, 2012. I love the sun, the ocean & the wide open sky. My constant friend & companion is my dog, Jennypenny, a mini-poodle, and two cats -- Cleo, a tabby, and Niles, a tom cat. I can't live without the sun and a good book. I love watching birds & other animals who visit my yard, cooking (especially vegetarian & healthy meals), talking with friends on the phone, meeting new friends online, journalling, listening to classical & big band music, seeing good movies & watching TV. I feel passionate about the right of all souls, including animals, to live in physical and emotional safety and about veterans receiving the gratitude and help they deserve.
