I am a former urbanite professional who is currently living in rural Cape Breton, trying to construct a meaningful and sustainable life without going crazy! Much of this involves musings on 'right livelihood' and the maintenance of a teeny tiny farm (1.5 acres cleared, 2 acres wooded). I also have three children, a lot of education, and a hankering to write (thus putting to use some of that substantial and expensive education). I have recently been taking meditation instruction with the local Shambhala centre. I have also spent years exploring earth-based spirituality, and have two physics degrees and 1-3/4 education degrees; much of my contemplation considers intersections among those worldviews.
