A tour in the Army led to a couple of decades as a civilian in and around DOD. After retirement, worked in several Christian ministries, including Christian Radio, and Wycliffe Bible Translators.
This blog arose, in July 2006, as an exercise in regaining "fighting shape" as a reporter of events. Those first pages were more rough than ready, but they are kept here, along with the various twists and turns since then, to show how far its been. Not unlike that first dollar bill often posted on the wall by a business proprietor to remind how far he, or she, has come since opening day.
Lately, we're in what might called a "picture is worth a thousand words" phase. Always liked photos as a form of reporting; they offer you an opportunity to see things others might have missed.
The DOD (and related) photographers do some great and amazing work. This hat's off to all of them.
