David Pettinicchio

I am a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oxford and will be assistant professor of sociology at the University of Toronto beginning in 2014.
I received my PhD in Sociology in 2012 from the University of Washington. My dissertation project addressed the reasons as to why the U.S. is not a policy laggard when it comes to disability rights . In addressing this broad theme, I focused more specifically on the interaction between institutional entrepreneurs, protest and nonprofit groups in promoting a rights agenda.
