I have two daughters who are studying at the University of Stellenbosch and they come home when their studies, obligations and social life allows.

I have been blogging on Food24 for the past two years. My second bloganiversary on this platform was on 5 April 2011. I have decided to spread my wings and started blogging on Wordpress. 

I love cooking and baking and started playing in the kitchen at an early age. Although I did a couple of cooking courses at the Pretoria Technical College, cooking remained a hobby, until I had my own Coffee Shop. I had the shop for 7 years and here I really learned to cook and bake. I baked all the cakes and tarts as well as all the muffins for the shop from scratch - no tubes of muffin or cake mixtures!!

I still do some catering, mostly for children's parties, which I enjoy a lot, because it is so creative. Most of my cooking and baking is done for my family who love eating!

I also do a number of crafts, such as mosaics, decoupage and fabric painting and I also love sewing and gardening.
