Michael Young brings more than 18 years of investment industry experience to Progressive Equity Advisors encompassing business development, training, management, product development, analysis, research and trading.
Highly qualified, Mr Young holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has successfully passed the following professional and industry recognised qualifications: the Saudi Arabia Capital Market Authority exam in Regulation (paper 1) and Operations (paper 2), a Postgraduate Diploma in Interpretation of Financial Statements, a Certificate in Corporate Finance, the Investment Management Certificate, the Financial Planning Certificate (Levels 1, 2 & 3), a Diploma in Business Management, the London School of Economics Certificate in Introductory MacroEconomics and the BTEC Certificate in Business & Finance Part 1.
Whilst Mr Young offers near-unrivalled breadth and depth of experience in equity investments he also has a respected track record in other assets classes including fixed interest, real estate, commodities, currencies, private equity and hedge funds. Well-travelled, Mr Young has benefited from extensive European, Middle East and Asian work experience.
Previous employers include Prudential, Standard Life, Baring Asset Management and SHUAA Capital. Prior to joining the investment industry Mr Young served in the British Army Intelligence Corps as an Analyst.
