My thoughts when I was a kid and teenager were more about the tough times I was going through and how I was processing them... Your childhood and youth are about feeling like most harder or challenging things that you go through are your life... I would say that most of the time when I wrote in the past it was because I had experienced some sort of emotional pain and I felt like each "hard" moment in life was a huge step that I had to take...which was why I wrote it down, to make it easier to deal with... I still do this yes... But as I've gotten older and have endured sorrow, loss, helping family members or whatever it has been... those small moments I see now as just being a part of life - I guess a natural thing to happen as you get older... but also because I've felt I've gone through a huge amount of growth in a small space of time...
