Rebecca MacKinnon is a writer and advocate for digital rights. Previously, she was founding director of the Ranking Digital Rights project at New America. Author of Consent of the Networked: The Worldwide Struggle For Internet Freedom, she is co-founder of the international citizen media network Global Voices.
