<aboutMe>Who I Am:

I am a husband and father of two beautiful girls. I was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and currently reside five hours north of my hometown - in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. However, I have, at various times, lived all over this wonderful land of hockey pucks, maple syrup and the best damn beer on the planet!

No matter what a person does to pay the bills - I believe strongly in the need for a creative outlet. It doesn't matter if you like to write, draw, compose, photograph or whatever. The important thing is to not let your imagination wither and die.

I dig sci-fi, fantasy; really anything escapist. I am also a die-hard sports fan, for the aforementioned escapism it also provides. I grew up on comics and still love to read, collect and create the "funny books."

Don't grow old, dream young.

It bothers me that the idealism I found so prevalent in society during my youth seems to have been replaced with a right wing bitterness. Where are the Trudeaus? The Kennedys? The Kings?

My motto: "Decide if the path to a better future lies in building a better war machine or in building the relationships that will make the war machine obsolete!"

What I Do:

I am the co-founder, projects director, a staff writer and spokesman for Speakeasy Primates - a cooperative creators studio.

I've been writing, editing, lettering & publishing underground comics, newsletters and Zines for over twenty years. My current e-Zine, RKYV ONLINE, has enjoyed web publication since 2006 and serves as a showcase for developing writers and artists.

I began writing genre material while in high school, notably through collaborations with the Windsor & Essex County Comic Collectors Club [W.E.C.C.C]. The club's newsletters [North Words], underground comics [Arcane] & fanzines [RKYV] were a wonderful environ for an aspiring creator to hone their craft. I am one of several other W.E.C.C.C alums who continues, to strive, to create entertaining and thoughtful works of art & fiction, to this day.</aboutMe>
