Kaitlin Scharra

Detroit, MI

I am a Master's Student of Anthropology at Wayne State University. My focus is on bridging archaeological material with developing Cultural Investment within the city via public outreach. I currently work with the Unearthing Detroit team a division of Wayne State Archaeology.

I hold a double Bachelors of Science in Anthropology and Microbiology. I have worked as an Archaeologist for the MSU Campus Archaeology Program focusing on historical archaeology and outreach. Other outreach programs I have been involved in include Day of Archaeology, Day of Digital Humanities, and Bishop Grosseteste's Summer Field School 2012 in Lincoln, UK.

In my free time I love spending time with my huge family, reading anything that is not academic, making the occasional quilt, and exploring the wide world of craft beers.
